Child safety

Rules and safe reporting for the SayScope conversation and AI workspace.

Version 2026-10-01 · Updated 1 October 2026

Child abuse and exploitation are prohibited

SayScope prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Do not create, upload, import, request, generate, store or distribute material that sexually abuses, exploits or endangers a child, including computer-generated material.

Grooming, sexualisation of children, sextortion, trafficking for sexual exploitation and predatory contact with children are prohibited. Do not use AI features to facilitate, conceal or encourage this conduct. These rules apply to all users, including adults importing conversations.

Age access

SayScope is preparing for users aged 13 and older. Access for ages 13–17 is not yet available: guardian consent, age assurance, regional requirements and provider safeguards must be approved and implemented first. SayScope is not available to anyone under 13. Until those safeguards are in place, account access remains restricted to adults aged 18 or older.

Permission to use an account does not give permission to process another child's personal information. Do not import that information without an applicable lawful basis and the required safeguards.

Report a concern safely

Contact info@sayscope.co.za with the subject “SayScope child safety report”. Describe what happened, the relevant SayScope feature, approximate time and any account or report reference you already have, without sending conversation files or explicit content. Include only the context needed to locate and assess the concern; avoid unnecessary identifying details about a child.

Do not upload, forward or attach suspected illegal images, videos, audio or conversation exports, including when reporting. Do not ask SayScope AI to inspect suspected illegal material. An external link or existing reference can identify where a concern occurred without copying the material into SayScope or email.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact local law enforcement or emergency services. You can report suspected online CSAM in South Africa through the Film and Publication Board reporting portal. Outside South Africa, use the relevant authority in your country. SayScope support is not an emergency service.

Restrictions and lawful escalation

Violations can lead to restricted or suspended access and removal of unlawful content hosted by SayScope. Relevant records may be protected and disclosed to competent authorities where legally required or permitted, with access limited to what is necessary. A report should identify the concern safely; it is not permission to upload prohibited material.

Use the support address above for safety concerns. The acceptable-use policy also applies.
